Harassment and Disrespect in the EAF
Today, we hit 1.3k members.
We should be spending this day celebrating, having fun, letting off some banter in Discord, making friends, winning raids, progressing as a nation and military.
Instead, we’ve spent the day at the throats of one another, arguing, bickering, doing nothing but holding the group back, and destroying the community that made us what we are.
From the start, Egypt was a place for people to come to for a new start, somewhere to escape the outside drama and bullshit of the clan war. Somewhere you could be accepted for any age, race, religion, sexual preference, or choice of lifestyle. Roblox as a game is meant for people to unwind, have fun, relax, learn, and grow.
Unfortunately, we’ve been plagued by the mentality that elitism will guide us to victory. We have fallen victim to our own hubris. Because we’ve beaten many groups larger than us against the odds, we feel as if it is necessary to conduct ourselves without the humility that used to set us apart.
We’re not going to rely on “operators” who will join the group because it is doing good, and leave it they’re not pampered to.
We’re not going to rely on people who are active but only to berate others for humor at the expense of the other person.
We’re not going to rely on offensive images, memes, slander, and harmful posts, especially about our own members, to give us comic relief.
The Egyptian Armed Forces will grow off of a small, loyal, playerbase, of people who are willing to adapt and grow with us, past trials and tribulations, showing maturity when necessary, enjoying themselves, and growing into a better person with a better group.
I am not advocating to create an “SJW Paradise” or stop any form of banter or beef, but I refuse to stand by and watch as members of Egypt are senselessly slandered against or attacked. This is absolutely wrong, and has no place in our community. We need to keep up the positivity, staying strong for one another, and being welcoming to all newcomers who arrive here.
Do not succumb to toxicity, as tempting as it is, do not lower yourselves to the levels of those that you persecute.
Hard work and dedication will get us to where we need to go. Band together, make a difference. A positive one.
Sincerely,
Supreme Leader AlaskanReality
